Kate's Dog School offers professional and reliable dog training services, based in Amsterdam but available online to people all around the world. With 1-1 tailored sessions, I specialise in puppy and dog training as well as individual rescue dog training. My ethical and positive reinforcement techniques are there to ensure your dog is happy and healthy while giving you the peace of mind that your pet is in safe hands.
Group sessions will be held outside, weather permitted. All 1-1 sessions can be held in your own home, or an open area of your choice.
1-1 Early Puppy Training
Puppies aged 7-12 weeks
2 session Package for €175 or €95 per lesson (All prices are inclusive of 21% VAT)
These sessions aim to give you a great jump start in the early stages of your puppies life. You can work on all the things you have learnt at home, leading you into the next stage of development and training once your puppy reaches 12 weeks old.
As management is key at this stage of their life, habituation is very important. That’s why I offer 1-1 sessions, allowing the puppy to become familiar with new situations, while not being overwhelmed (flooding).
I offer three sessions in this period. In the initial meet and greet where we will chat about the beginning of your training journey with your puppy in a safe space. We will discuss how the rehoming period has been, how your puppy is settling in as well as some of the basics.
Online sessions are also available.

This is where the real training journey begins, the juvenile period! In this stage of your puppies life, they will remember things for the rest of their life.
It’s really important to give your puppy the best start, allowing them to grow into a confident and well-rounded adult dogs. Kind and ethical training is vital when it comes to building an emotionally stable dog. Relationship building is also really crucial between puppy and owner from a young age. This ultimately will mean your puppy will trust you enough to engage with you when you need it as well as be able to handle the times when you are apart.
Training your puppy with positive reinforcement is the best way to make sure they become resilient to the world and also have fun with them along the way.
In these sessions, we will keep in mind the importance of positive reinforcement and choosing what’s right for your dog in terms of their breed.

So you've reached the adolescent stage of your dogs life!
This can be a particularly testing period for any dog owner, but you can get through it with consistency and positive reward based training.
During this period of your dogs development, hormones and fear periods will come into play. They are becoming sexually mature and training is vital at this stage to establish a well-rounded and confident dog.
You might find that your dog is showing some unwanted behaviours and any training they've learnt thus far, is falling on deaf ears! These sessions can help get you and your teenage pup heading back in the right direction.
Any follow ons from the puppy course will receive a discount.

Meet sweet little Bowie 😍
He has a bark that's almost as big as his personality. As a rescue, he's got a lot of heart but isn’t quite sure what to make of the world just yet. Sudden sounds, strangers and unexpected doggo encounters are all met with a healthy dose of suspicion and a chorus of classic dachshund vocals. We're also tackling his separation anxiety, building up his confidence with being alone. 💪
